The annual exhibition of the Muthesius University of Art also takes place in the Corona year, but its concept is by far the most unusual insight of the art school. This is made possible by ONLINESTREAMING and around 50 locations in the Kiel area, which the student planning team was able to gain as a cooperation partner. They give the students the opportunity to exhibit and present their work from the fields of communication design, fine art, industrial design and spatial strategies. There are stations from Gaarden to Holtenau and around the art college. There is an information station at the university itself.
The students not only want to avoid large crowds of people on campus, but above all they want to build a bridge to their quarters, to other art providers and to the offers of alumni, who all had to fight for their existence in the same way as signs of the past lockdown, and some of it still have to. It is an act of solidarity and active support for the art and cultural scene in Kiel, of which the art school is a part.
“Our annual exhibition deals with the question of how and what it can be in the face of pandemic, fear of existence, everyday life, upheavals and change. What is important NOW? And what will be important in the FUTURE? ” said project managers Neele Marie Denker and Paula Koch.
In addition to these real locations, parts of Einblick Ausblick also take place on billboards, which are conceived and designed by the individual classes as a separate exhibition area. Another important component of this year’s annual exhibition is the digital exhibition and streaming offer at www.einblickausblick.de. There, parts of the program and the music events are carried beyond the city limits.
The annual exhibition is opened by the President Dr. Arne Zerbst. He will be speaking on Wednesday at 5 p.m. Further guests from the state government and the city of Kiel are requested.
For orientation in the urban space, a folding plan will appear in which the program items and locations are shown in the overview. A catalog for the annual exhibition will appear at the beginning of the winter semester, in which the annual exhibition itself will also be part of the documentation.
