Help for art and design students from Ukraine

Art and design students from Ukraine are welcome at Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design. In order to build a creative bridge, we have enabled a fluent transition for refugee students. We are open to working out individual solutions together which are adapted to the respective situation of Ukrainian students and which allow them to continue their artistic and design work as quickly as possible. This is carried out in direct consultation with the responsible professors. The Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design welcomes the helpfulness, solidarity and participation of its students, teachers and staff.

Shortly after the start of the war in Ukraine, the Presidential Board decided to admit students from Ukraine to the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design in an unbureaucratic and simplified manner. (...)

Project Office

The Project Office is an interdisciplinary institute of the Muthesius University. On the one hand, the project office helps students to turn their exhibitions and ideas into reality. Master’s students of “Strategic Communication” as well as “Conception and Design” work in their own studios on cultural, social and economic needs and can also compelte their degrees here. First experiences of working with real commissioning companies can be made – from the brief to final presentation. The students can optimally prepare for later practical work: working on commissions, taking on responsibility and still utilising the freedom of the university to develop their individual aesthetic signature within the framework of the protected “Communication Laboratory”. This project work is supplemented by workshops and interesting guest lecturers and allows enough room for individual ideas and their implementation. The Muthesius University offers a wide range of possibilities to deal with social reality: from Photography, Typography, Illustration via Spatial Strategies to the Centre for Media. The Project Office would like to encourage and support its Master’s students when they show interest in later working in a design or advertising agency, or even daring their first steps as freelancers.
